📖 After the AI Crash —— Doug Dawson, CCG Consulting
“The most interesting thing about a major crash is that it can do as much long-term good as it does short-term harm.”
- 主句:The most interesting thing [主语] + about a major crash [后置定语] + is [系动词]
- 表语从句:that it can do as much long-term good as it does short-term harm
- it 指代 a major crash
as much A as B是同级比较结构,将long-term good与short-term harm置于比较两端does替代前面的can do,避免重复(动词代动词)
as much A as B
“I don’t think there is any chance of AI failing as a technology. But that doesn’t mean the early developers are the ones who will see the ultimate success. Most, and maybe all of today’s players might be gone. A crash will bring financial constraints, which would mean that AI companies will have to figure out efficiency and economies of scale. If AI is ever going to be a viable technology, it has to control costs and be able to pay for itself.”
and this means更正式流畅 - If … is ever going to —— 虚拟条件句,
I don’t think there is any chance of Rust failing as a systems language. But that doesn’t mean the early frameworks are the ones that will define the ecosystem. A period of consolidation will bring design constraints, which would mean that library authors will have to figure out performance and developer experience. If Rust is ever going to be a mainstream technology, it has to balance safety with productivity.
